  • Black Lotus Mental Wellness primarily supports Black women and Black and racialized adults who may be navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, depression, or life transitions.

    Many clients are high-functioning and self-aware, but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they’ve been unable to shift through traditional approaches.

  • Support is offered for a range of concerns, including:

    • Trauma (including complex and intergenerational trauma)

    • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm

    • Burnout and stress

    • Depression

    • Grief and loss

    • Relationship patterns

    • Life transitions

    • Racial stress and trauma

  • This practice integrates psychotherapy with body-based approaches, including mindfulness, meditation, yoga-informed practices, and EMDR.

    Rather than focusing only on thoughts, sessions support you in reconnecting with your body, processing emotions safely, and building long-term regulation skills in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.

  • Yes. This practice centers culturally relevant care for Black and racialized clients.

    Sessions consider how identity, lived experience, and systemic factors can impact mental health, offering a space where clients can feel understood, represented, and supported.

    • Individual therapy sessions

    • EMDR therapy packages

    • EMDR extended sessions

    • EMDR intensives (half-day and full-day)

    • Low-cost therapy program (limited availability)

    • Sit With It: Monthly Meditation Reset (virtual group)

    • Corporate workshops and group programming

  • The best option depends on your needs:

    • Ongoing Therapy: for consistent support and long-term care

    • EMDR Package: for structured trauma processing

    • Extended Sessions: for deeper work within a single session

    • EMDR Intensives: for focused, immersive healing

    • Monthly Meditation Reset: for a low-commitment starting point

  • Consultations are $30 for 30 minutes.

    They are designed to explore your needs, assess readiness, and determine whether this approach feels like the right fit, rather than offering a quick or surface-level introduction.

  • All psychotherapy sessions are currently virtual and available to clients in Ontario, Canada.

    Some EMDR intensives may be offered in person depending on availability and preference.

  • Direct insurance billing is not currently offered.

    Clients may be able to submit receipts for reimbursement depending on their provider.

    • 24 hours’ notice is required

    • Late cancellations or missed sessions are charged in full

    • A one-time courtesy exception may be offered

  • Yes, a limited number of low-cost therapy spots are available.

    Eligibility is based on a good-faith financial assessment, and availability is limited. This option is not typically recommended for clients seeking EMDR services.

  • A 60-minute virtual group session designed to help you reconnect with your body through meditation, mindfulness, and grounding practices.

    It’s open to current, past, and potential clients, and can be a gentle entry point into this work.
