Events & Workshops at Black Lotus Mental WellnessWorkplace Wellness Workshops
Sit With It workshops offer organizations an intentional space to step outside the demands of the workday and reconnect with themselves and one another. Through psychoeducation, guided meditation, breathwork, somatic practices, restorative movement, and reflection, workshops can support teams navigating burnout, overwhelm, high-stress environments, or simply looking for meaningful ways to strengthen connection and morale.
Workshops can be booked as a one-hour session, multi-hour experience, full-day retreat, or multi-day offering, with each experience tailored to the needs of your team or organization.
What is Sit With It?
Designed for teams who need space to reset
These workshops can be especially supportive for helping professionals, healthcare and mental health teams, nonprofit organizations, leadership teams, educators, community organizations, and workplaces navigating periods of high stress or change.
A Sit With It workshop can be incorporated into an existing team retreat or professional development day, or designed as a standalone wellness experience. Depending on your goals, sessions may focus on nervous system regulation, burnout prevention, mindfulness, embodied stress management, team connection, or sustainable practices employees can carry into their everyday lives.
Each workshop is tailored to the needs of your team and may weave together guided meditation, nervous system education, breathwork, restorative or chair yoga, somatic practices, guided reflection, and opportunities for team connection and individual practice.
Four Ways to Sit With It
Choose the format that best fits your team, goals, and available time. Each workshop can be tailored to your organization, whether you’re looking for a one-hour reset or a more immersive retreat experience.
-
A focused, accessible introduction to nervous system regulation and embodied wellness. Ideal for lunch-and-learns, staff wellness programming, conferences, or as part of a larger team retreat.
-
A multi-hour experience that creates more room for psychoeducation, guided practice, reflection, and integration. Content can be tailored around burnout, stress, team well-being, or another area relevant to your organization.
-
A spacious, facilitated day combining learning, somatic practices, restorative movement, mindfulness, reflection, and intentional pauses. Designed for teams who need meaningful time away from their usual pace to reset and reconnect.
-
A customized series or retreat experience that allows teams to explore practices more deeply and build sustainable tools over time. Programming can be developed around the needs, culture, and goals of your organization.
Our Process
Connect
Every workplace is different. We’ll start with a conversation about your team, organizational culture, current needs, and what you’re hoping participants will take away from the experience.
Create
Together, we’ll shape a workshop focus and format that fits your team and space, whether that’s in your workplace, at an off-site location, or with support finding a space. We’ll explore what your team may benefit from most, from gentle movement rooted in restorative and yin yoga to seated meditation, reflection, and psychoeducation.
Sit
Sit With It sessions bring together mental health education, culturally responsive reflection, mindfulness and meditation, and accessible yoga and movement. Each experience is facilitated through a trauma-informed lens, creating space for participants to pause, reconnect, and explore practices that support nervous-system regulation and collective wellbeing.
Practice
The goal is more than feeling better for an hour. Participants leave with practical tools and reflections they can carry into their daily lives, while sessions can also invite teams to consider how workplace culture, relationships, and systems can better support sustainable wellbeing.

I also offer Sit With It as a free monthly virtual workshop. No therapy background needed, no long-term sign-up. If you've been curious about what it feels like to slow down and reconnect with your body, this is a gentle way to begin. Space is limited for each session so sign up earlier in the month to get secure your spot.
Please note that Sit With It sessions are not therapy and cannot be considered individual or group therapy. Sit With It workshops are group experiences based in psychoeducation and somatic-informed practice. Attending a ‘Sit With It’ session does not constitute a therapeutic relationship between any participants and Registered Social Worker and Workshop Facilitator Deshawna Dookie.
